Green--Rankin--Bembridge House
historic place
The Green--Rankin--Bembridge House is a historic Queen Anne Victorian residence in Long Beach, Los Angeles County. Built in 1906 by banker Stephen Green and his wife Josephine, the house was later acquired by Thomas Rankin in 1919. Dorothy Bembridge, Rankin's daughter, lived here from 1918 until her death in 1999, making her the longest resident. Recognized as Long Beach's most ornate Queen Anne Victorian, it is a designated City Landmark and listed on both state and national registers. Long Beach Heritage now operates the house, preserving its original interiors. This site provides insight into early 20th-century Long Beach.
