Security Trust and Savings Building
historic place
The Security Trust and Savings Building is a historic place in Long Beach, Los Angeles County. This twelve-story office building was constructed between 1923 and 1925. Architects Curlett and Beelman designed its Beaux-Arts style with Italian Renaissance Revival elements. The building features a polished granite base, limestone walls, and red brick with decorative accents. Its base includes a recessed entryway behind giant Corinthian columns. A historical marker, erected in 1989 by the City of Long Beach Cultural Heritage Commission, highlights its significance. The marker describes it as a classic Beaux-Arts office building in Renaissance Revival style, designed by eminent Los Angeles architects. Originally the Security Trust and Savings Bank, it housed many firms. This building remains a Long Beach Historic Landmark.
