Hogan House
historic place
The Hogan House is a historic place located in the Laurel Canyon neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. This residence was built in 1964 for television actor Jack Hogan. Architect Douglas Rucker designed the house in the Mid-Century Modern, Post and Beam style. The Hogan House exemplifies this architectural style, featuring a rectangular plan that cantilevers over the hillside. Its design showcases structural systems, geometric massing, and a seamless relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. The house retains its historic integrity since its construction. In 2018, the City of Los Angeles designated the Hogan House as Historic-Cultural Monument Number 1152. This designation recognizes the property's architectural significance as an excellent example of Mid-Century Modern residential design in Los Angeles.
