North Sacramento School

historic place

The North Sacramento School, located in Sacramento, California, was built in 1915. Architect Clarence C. Cuff designed the building in the Mission-Revival style. This school was vital to the growth of North Sacramento, then an independent city, attracting families and spurring population growth. Rapid expansion led to additions between 1920 and 1926. The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021 and became a local landmark in February 2024. After years of vacancy, it was acquired in 2024 for restoration as a community cultural center. This site is significant for its role in North Sacramento's early community development.
