Pflueger, Timothy L., House

historic place

The Timothy L. Pflueger House, a historic place in San Francisco, California, stands at 1015 Guerrero Street. The house was built in 1887. Architect Timothy L. Pflueger moved into this residence as a child in 1902, when his father purchased it. He lived here throughout his career until his death in 1946. The house is significant as the best remaining property associated with Pflueger's productive life, given that no architectural studio or office of his is still extant. Originally Italianate in style, the house saw some Queen Anne features added around 1903. Timothy Pflueger himself designed two modifications to the building in 1915 and 1945. In 2023, the Timothy L. Pflueger House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This site is historically important as the long-term home of an architect who significantly shaped San Francisco's early 20th-century urban landscape.
