Hutton, Warner, House
historic place
The Hutton, Warner, House in Saratoga, California, is a historic Queen Anne-style farmhouse. It was constructed around 1896 for Warner Hutton. This house exemplifies the Queen Anne architectural style common in Santa Clara County during the late 19th century. Originally located off Sousa Lane, the house was moved in 1990 to its current site at 13777A Fruitvale Avenue. This relocation prevented its demolition during State Highway 85 construction. The City of Saratoga acquired the house in 1987. A historical marker, erected in 1995, details its history. The house was designated a Saratoga Heritage Landmark in 1995 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. The Hutton, Warner, House is significant as one of Saratoga's few remaining Queen Anne-style farmhouses, reflecting the area's architectural and agricultural heritage.
