The church featured a Romanesque Revival style, constructed with green serpentine stone and brown stone trim, and included a four-stage clock tower. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. Known as "The Green Church" for its unique facade, this historic structure was demolished on October 21, 2008. A public school now occupies the site.
