Granger House and The Perch

The Granger House and The Perch are historic properties in Austin, Travis County, Texas. Architect Charles Granger designed both. "The Perch," a two-story garage and apartment, was designed in 1938 and built in 1945. It features Residential International Style architecture. Granger completed the main residence, the Granger House, around 1951. This house exhibits a Midcentury Modern style. These properties were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. They were also designated a City of Austin Historic Landmark in 2007 and a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 2010. A historical marker was erected in 2010. These buildings are notable examples of mid-20th century architectural styles in Austin.
