Hildreth--Flanagan--Heierman House
historic place
The Hildreth--Flanagan--Heierman House is located at 3909 Avenue G in Austin, Texas. This historic home was completed in 1902. Master builder William Voss Senior constructed the house for its first owner, Charles A. Hildreth, at a cost of $2,718. The house combines architectural features of the Queen Anne and Colonial Revival styles. It also displays Victorian-era elements with Classical Revival detailing. Charles A. Hildreth resided in the house for about a year before his death in 1904. His widow, Nancy Ann Hildreth, later married Webster Flanagan, and they continued to live in the home. Following Nancy Ann Hildreth Flanagan's death in 1929, Harry W. Heierman purchased the property. The Hildreth--Flanagan--Heierman House was designated a historic landmark by the City of Austin in 1987. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. The house is recognized for its architectural significance, representing a transition between late 19th and early 20th-century forms.
