Paggi, Michael, House
historic place
The Michael Paggi House in Austin, Travis County, is a historic, Greek Revival style house built before the Civil War. It was initially on land owned by planter Colonel S.W. Goodrich, near a Colorado River crossing. Italian native Michael Paggi purchased the home in 1884, operating an ice company and carriage shop in Austin. His daughter, Helen Paggi Powell, received ownership in 1906. The house became a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1980. It is one of Austin's oldest surviving buildings.
