The Sparks House, a historic place in Austin, Texas, was built in 1927. It was constructed for former state treasurer Sam Sparks and his wife, Bertha May 'Polly' Jones Mulkey Sparks. The Austin firm Page Brothers designed the house in Spanish eclectic style. This firm also designed other local buildings, including the 1930 Travis County Courthouse. Constructed of brick, limestone, cast concrete, and tile, the Sparks House features a bas-relief around its front windows, arched doorways, and Weigl Ironwork. It stands in Judges Hill, an early Austin neighborhood known for its nineteenth-century judicial residents. In 2016, the Texas Historical Commission erected a marker, designating the Sparks House as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark.
