Central Congregational Church, Dallas, Texas
historic place
The Central Congregational Church in Dallas, Texas, traces its origins to 1877 with the founding of the First Congregational Church. In 1902, the Central Congregational Church was formally organized to serve the growing East Dallas area. The congregation completed its distinctive building at North Carroll and San Jacinto streets in 1920. This structure stands as a significant example of early 20th-century Gothic Revival architecture in Dallas. For its architectural merit, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The original Central Congregational Church congregation relocated in 1956, selling this building. Today, the site remains historically important for its architectural contribution to the city.
