Johnson-Elliott House
historic place
The Johnson-Elliott House is a historic residence located at 3 Chase Court in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. This house was constructed in 1910. Architects Marion L. Waller and E. Stanley Field designed the building. It was originally built for Dr. Clay Johnson, a notable Fort Worth physician and civic leader who also served on the Fort Worth Board of Education during the 1910s. The house stands within Chase Court, which was developed in 1906 as Fort Worth's earliest documented planned subdivision. Chase Court itself received an official Texas Historical Marker in 1984. The Johnson-Elliott House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is also a contributing structure within the larger Fairmount-Southside Historic District, a neighborhood developed as a middle-class residential area between 1885 and 1940. This site represents a significant example of early 20th-century residential architecture and urban planning in Fort Worth.
