Allbach House

historic place

The Allbach House, officially known as the Anson M. Allebach House, is a historic place in Houston, Texas. You can find it at 2023 Arlington Street, within the historic Houston Heights neighborhood. This residence was constructed around 1912. The house is a one-story frame structure, showcasing the Bungalow architectural style with Colonial Revival influences. Distinct from many simpler homes in the Heights, it features an elaborate design. Notice its combination roof, with a large, shingled, front-corner gable that includes a small, round window. An inset porch, supported by Doric three-quarter columns on a wooden railing, defines the main entrance. The Allbach House was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 22, 1983. This designation formally recognizes its architectural significance and its place in the area's historical design.
