The Jay L. Durham House is located at 921 Heights Boulevard in Houston, Texas. This historic place was built in 1903. It is recognized for its Queen Anne architectural style, featuring a distinctive turret. The house was individually listed in the National Register of Historic Places on January 15, 1988. Later, on March 12, 1998, it was designated as a Landmark of the City of Houston. The house stands within Houston Heights, an area designated a Multiple Resource Area by the National Register Program in 1983. Houston Heights was developed in 1891 and was an independent municipality before its annexation by Houston in 1918. The Jay L. Durham House is historically significant as a well-preserved example of early 20th-century residential architecture in the Houston Heights community.
