Lindenburg, Emil, House
historic place
Welcome to the Emil Lindenburg House in Houston, Texas. This historic place, built in 1902, stands as a notable example of Dutch Colonial architectural style. It is a two-story frame dwelling with a distinctive gambrel roof. Emil Lindenburg, the original owner, resided here at 1445 Harvard Street until 1938. During his time, Lindenburg used his home as a studio, where he taught violin and other orchestral instruments to local students. The Lindenburg House is significant for being one of the few Dutch Colonial style homes in the Houston Heights area. Its architectural design and its past as a center for musical instruction contribute to its local importance. The property is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
