The Mansfield House, a historic place in Houston's Heights neighborhood, is located at 1802 Harvard Street in Harris County. Henry P. Mansfield had this residence built in 1900. The house is an example of the elaborate Stick/Eastlake architectural style, a design once more common in the Heights. After Mansfield, the property was owned by real estate investors, including S. Allen Kincaide and Alexander Peddle. Recognized for its architectural significance, the Mansfield House was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Today, it continues its use as a residence and an architect's office. This site offers a glimpse into the architectural styles prevalent in Houston at the turn of the 20th century.
