historic place

The International & Great Northern Railroad Passenger Station in San Antonio, Texas, showcases Mission Revival architecture. Designed by Harvey L. Page, this station was built between 1906 and 1908. Situated at Medina and Houston Streets, it served as a vital transportation center for San Antonio in the early 20th century. The station remained active until passenger train use declined, closing in 1970. After restoration, the building now serves as headquarters for San Antonio's VIA Metropolitan Transit System. This station is one of two original railroad stations still standing in San Antonio, marking its historical importance to the city's transportation development.
