Reinbolt Hall at St. Mary's University
historic place
Reinbolt Hall is a historic place on the campus of St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. Completed in 1908, it was the second building constructed for what was then St. Louis College. Architect James Wahrenberger designed this three-story brick and limestone structure in the Romanesque Revival style. The building originally housed a two-story chapel and a basement auditorium in its western portion. The eastern section contained classrooms, dormitory rooms, and dining halls, built to accommodate the college's growing student body. Construction concluded in November 1908, with a public dedication on January 28, 1909. Covered elevated walkways, also from 1908, connect Reinbolt Hall to St. Louis Hall, the university's first building. Today, Reinbolt Hall continues to serve the university, housing classrooms, administrative offices, and the chapel. It is historically significant to the development of St. Mary's University.
