Northern Bank and Trust Building
historic place
The Northern Bank and Trust Building, now known as the Seaboard Building, stands at 1500 Fourth Avenue in Seattle, Washington. It is a historic place, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and holding city landmark status. This Beaux Arts style building was constructed in two stages, from 1906 to 1910. W.D. Van Siclen was the architect, and Stirrat and Goetz were the builders. The Northern Bank and Trust Company was its first tenant. The building later housed the corporate headquarters for Nordstrom. In 2000, it was redeveloped into a mixed-use property, now including residential units, offices, and retail spaces. This structure provides a historical example of early 20th-century commercial architecture in King County, Seattle.
