Ravenna Park Bridge

historic place

The Ravenna Park Bridge, a historic place in Seattle, Washington's King County, was constructed in 1913. This three-hinged, steel lattice-arched bridge spans a deep ravine in Ravenna Park. Engineer Frank M. Johnson designed it under Seattle City Engineer A. H. Dimock. The bridge initially connected growing residential neighborhoods, serving automobiles and pedestrians. In 1975, it was permanently converted for pedestrian and bicycle use. The Ravenna Park Bridge is recognized for its engineering design and its significance as early 20th-century infrastructure. It is a designated Seattle Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
