Windham Apartments
historic place
The Windham Apartments, a historic place in Seattle's King County, was completed in 1925. This seven-story building, located at 420 Blanchard Street in the Denny Regrade neighborhood, was designed by architect Henry W. Bittman. The Windham Apartments features a Classical Revival style, characterized by a tripartite vertical scheme. Its construction, estimated at $250,000, was undertaken by Albertson Cornell Brothers & Walsh. The building was erected during a period of high demand for apartment accommodations in Seattle. In 2006, the Windham Apartments was designated a Seattle Landmark. It continues to serve as multi-family housing, reflecting early 20th-century apartment architecture in the city.
