  The Pound Farmstead in Dripping Springs, Texas, was established by Dr. Joseph M. Pound and his wife, Sarah Dunbiken Ward. They settled in this area in 1853. In 1854, the original home was constructed, featuring two log pens made of rough-hewn cypress logs, built with slave labor. Over time, addition
